Tehran, July 12, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani called for boost of cultural ties with the world with the help of Iranian arts and cultural figures.

Addressing a meeting of local cultural and arts figures on Saturday night, he said that arts and cultural figures can play a big role to fight extremism and violence in society and to propagate moderate ideas.

The President said that the government will continue its support for the arts and cultural figures and believe that government should prepare the ground for their free activity.

Artists and cultural figures have a high role in expansion of Iran's cultural relations with the world, Rouhani added.

The President underlined that the government has plans to broaden cultural relations with the world and urges the art figures to help the administration to fulfill the job.

Rouhani called country's diplomatic approach in negotiations with P5+1 logical and at the same time quite artistic.

He said even if the on-going nuclear negotiations fail, the world will acknowledge Iran's logical behavior at the talks.

And if by Almighty's grace and nation's prayers, we become victorious, the world would know that Iranians are skillful people who manage to settle their problems with logic, the President added.

Saying that his government has been endeavoring to settle the problems of people including those related to cultural and arts fields, he hoped that by the public and elites support, the government and nuclear negotiators will materialize whatever is in line with the national interests.
