Tehran, July 5, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani has ordered Justice Ministry to enforce Amendment to the Penal Code.

Government website said the Majlis Judicial and Legal Commission on June 14 this year passed the Code per Article 85 of the Constitution and it was confirmed by the Guardian Council on June 17.

The amendment to the Code will be enforced on tentative basis in pursuit of the law passed by the Majlis Legal and Judicial Commission on February 23, 2014.

The Penal Code has been binding since June 22.
