Qeshm, Hormuzgan prov, July 4, IRNA � Vice President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Masoud Soltanifar said tourism is the untouched treasury of Iran.

He said given Iran�s huge potential in tourism areas, the country is preparing itself for a quick leap in tourism industry by providing necessary infrastructures.

He said the government intended to establish wide interactions with the world with the objective of using economic potentials of other countries to give a boost to Iran tourism industry.

Pointing out that President Hassan Rouhani is specially focusing on the issue, his deputy said that seven vast tourist hubs are designed all along Iran�s southern coastline in the three provinces of Sistan-Baluchestan, Bushehr and Hormozgan by the private sector.

Soltanifar further noted that half of the tourists arriving in Iran are heading for pilgrimage sites, adding this indicates the importance of further developing Halal tourism in the country.
