Iran, group 5+1 continue nuclear talks Thursday

VIENNA (Tasnim) The ongoing round of negotiations between Iran and world powers over the countrys nuclear energy program will resume Thursday with intensive talks between the negotiating teams.

Nuclear talks between Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, US, Britain, France, and Germany) will go on Thursday in overtime in Vienna, capital of Austria, with bilateral talks between Iran and world powers.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is also Iran's chief negotiator, is scheduled to separately meet with his German and British counterparts Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Philip Hammond for nuclear talks.

He will then hold separate meetings with European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini and US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Zarif will likely meet with his Chinese counterpart once Wang Yi joins the talks on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, experts from the two sides concluded drafting the text of a possible final agreement over Tehran's peaceful nuclear program, a source close to the Iranian team of negotiators announced.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (alternatively known as P5+1 or E3+3) are in talks in the European capital to hammer out a lasting agreement to end more than a decade of impasse over Tehran's civilian nuclear program.

The two sides on Tuesday extended the nuclear negotiations for seven days after the June 30 deadline expired.
