No talk of change in venue of Iran nuclear talks: Source

VIENNA (Tasnim) A source close to the team of Iranian negotiators engaged in nuclear talks with six world powers said the parties have not had any discussion about a change in the venue of the negotiations, currently underway in Austria's capital.

There has been no talk of a change in the venue of the negotiations, the source said on Monday.

The comments came after widespread speculation that the parties will continue the talks somewhere other than Austria and Switzerland.

Since June 17, ranking diplomats and experts have been here to finalize the text of a comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

The negotiations climaxed on Saturday with the arrival of the two sides' foreign ministers, seeking to hammer out the long-awaited deal before a self-imposed deadline of June 30.

In April, the two sides reached a framework nuclear agreement in Lausanne, Switzerland, that provides outlines of the final deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
