TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Sajad Hashemi Ahangari from Iran seized a silver medal in the Men's 400m at the 2nd leg of Asian Grand Prix 2015 held at Asian stadium of Thammasat University Sports Complex in the outskirt of Bangkok, Thailand.

On Thursday, the Iranian athlete finished in the second place with a time of 45.98s.

Hashemi also bettered his own previous best performance of 46s.

The second edition of the Asian Grand Prix Series opened in Thailand on June 25 and will run till 29.

The first leg of the tournament started in the capital. The second leg is currently underway in Pathum Thani, while the third leg will be staged in Chanthaburi.

A cash prize of $1,500, $800 and $500 will be awarded to the athletes who finish first to third in individual events.
