Tehran, June 21, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the sixth joint meeting between Majlis and government is to be held this afternoon to review a bill on preservation of nuclear achievements.

In the meeting, the Majlis and government would review a plan which urges the government to preserve significant nuclear achievements.

Iranian MPs on Sunday approved general outlines of a bill which calls for preservation of nuclear achievements.

The lawmakers approved the bill with 199 votes in favor, 3 against and 5 abstentions.

The Iranian Majlis has approved the single-urgency bill to oblige the government to preserve its nuclear achievements in case of newly-imposed sanctions by the US Congress.

One hundred and seventy three MPs out of 205 present voted in favor of the plan during an open Parliament session in February.

If the bill is passed , the government will be obliged to cancel the Geneva agreement and return Irans nuclear activities to the point before the agreement once the US Congress imposes further sanctions against Iran.
