The sentences issued for the two officers will be announced and executed soon, Amir-Abdollahian quoted al-Jubeir after the meeting with the Saudi official on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) emergency conference on Yemen in Jeddah.
Al-Jubeir also condemned the event in the airport, he said.
The two size also stressed cooperation and talks among regional countries to establish security in the Middle East, he said, adding, Iran also outlined its views on ending war in the region and promoting political process.
Iran and Saudi Arabia stressed that the two sides’ dialogue and effective cooperation is the best way to get out of the problems and reach collective security.
Performing body search on passengers at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah back in April, the two Saudi officers, reportedly sounded off the alarm at the gate, took the Iranian teenagers — aged 14 and 15 — away and subjected them to indecent acts.
Iran strongly reacted to the amoral and inhumane act, summoned the Saudi charge d’affaires, and submitted a note of complaint to the Saudi government.
