TEHRAN June 15(Shana)–The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has hiked gas delivery to power plants, NIGC’s spokesman Majid Boujarzadeh said.
Speaking to Shana, Boujarzadeh said gas delivery to power plants hit 14.594 billion cubic meters over the first 85 days of the current Iranian calendar year that began March 21, up by 2.1 billion cubic meters against the similar period last year.
He continued the company supplied 7.913 billion cubic meters of gas to large industries or 93 million cubic meters per day on average while household, commercial and small industries used 15.27 billion cubic meters of gas during the period.
According to NIGC’s spokesman, the volume of gas delivery to power plants stood at 50 billion cubic meters last year, up by 15 billion cubic meters year-on-year.
He also predicted gas delivery to power plants would hike by 7 billion cubic meters this year.
