Iran and the P5+1 group of countries can possibly reach a nuclear agreement by the self-imposed June 30 deadline and there is no need to extend the talks on Tehran's nuclear program, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov says

"It is possible to reach the agreement by the set deadline of June 30," Ryabkov told reporters on Monday.

He also dismissed speculations about the extension of the talks between Iran and the six global powers on Tehran�s nuclear program.

"I want to categorically stop talks about extending the negotiations because if we don�t focus on the end result now, it means we will lower our own chances of a positive outcome," Ryabkov, who is Russia's senior nuclear negotiator at the Vienna talks, said.

He further stressed the importance of making �necessary positive decisions� in the coming days before the set deadline.

The Russian official emphasized that Iran and its negotiating partners have taken and continue to adopt all the necessary measures within the framework of the expert work on the text of the possible final nuclear agreement.

�We call on all our colleagues in the negotiations to approach the current situation with utmost responsibility, given that the June 30 is a feasible deadline, and there is nothing insurmountable about it," Ryabkov said.

The Russian negotiator�s comments came as Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany are set to resume another round of expert-level nuclear talks in the Austrian capital of Vienna.

Iranian deputy foreign ministers, Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, are scheduled to resume the negotiations about the text of the comprehensive deal on Wednesday.

Iran and the P5+1 group of countries � the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany � seek to finalize a comprehensive deal by June 30.

Tehran and its negotiating partners have been working on the text of a final agreement since they reached a mutual understanding on the key parameters of a final deal in the Swiss city of Lausanne on April 2.

Iran has maintained that it would not be pressed for time over a final deal.

Tehran has also emphasized that the negotiations can lead to an agreement by the announced deadline, if the six powers do not raise excessive demands
