Rouhani praises coexistence of various sects in Iran

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday hailed coexistence of various sects in Iran.

Speaking during his visit to Tehran western suburbs, Rouhani pointed to sectarian violence in the region and called coexistence of Iranian sects as an inspiring model for the region and the world.

President thanked people’s advocacy for his government, calling the current economic boom the result of nation’s support.

Despite financial problems caused by decrease of oil revenues, government is committed to resolve the economic problems and to continue the country’s scientific progress forward, the President added.

He referred to Iran’s top ranking in the field of science and technology in the reign and Muslim world and the country’s achievements in all fields including agriculture as a sign of nation’s progress despite international pressures.
