5th round of nuclear talks to start today in Vienna

Tehran, May 26, IRNA Iran's negotiating team and representative of the European Union (EU) are to start the fifth round of nuclear talks in the Austrian capital on Tuesday.

Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, on behalf of Iran, and Helga Schmid on behalf of 5+1 member countries of the EU- the UK, France and Germany- are to attend the today talks.

The Vienna negotiations will focus on drafting the text of the comprehensive nuclear agreement.

The two sides have been holding talks on writing the text since April 22.

The fifth round of negotiations will extend for four days.

Deputy foreign ministers of other members of the P5+1 may join the talks on Friday.

P5+1 includes the US, UK, France, Russia and China plus Germany.

At the end of the fourth round of talks on May 22, Iran's senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi had told that the progress is slow due to the different complicated issues.
