TEHRAN (FNA)- The US, Israel and certain regional states are collaborating to heighten security threats against the country at the borders, Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council (EC) Mohsen Rezayee said on Saturday, in remarks that resemble a similar warning by the Iranian Supreme Leader.

The US and Israel in collaboration with certain regional states have started increasing security threats to Iran's bordering areas and "we are observing some of its instance in Syria, Yemen and Iraq and they have hatched plots to push insecurities to our borders, including the western and Eastern borders", Rezayee said, addressing an Expediency Council meeting in Tehran on Saturday.

He called on the Iranian Armed Forces to boost vigilance and preparedness to give a powerful, crushing response to potential aggressors and nip the enemies' plots in the bud.

In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei pointed to certain reports on collaboration between the enemies and certain Persian Gulf littoral states' officials to draw proxy wars to Iran's bordering areas, and said, "The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and all those Armed Forces who safeguard the national security boundaries are vigilant and awake and if any mischief happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will show a very harsh reaction."

He also dismissed enemies' propaganda on isolation of Iran, and said the Islamic Republic has always been adored by different nations and enemies' attempts are futile.
