Press TV has conducted an interview with Tighe Barry,��a CODEPINK activist, to discuss Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemen which has left over�1,800 civilians dead so far.

This is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV:�Why do you think Saudi Arabia is continuing with its bombardment while at the same time it is holding a summit to speak of political transition in the country?

Barry:�It is quite transparent that Saudi Arabia is quickly becoming the Israel of that neighborhood. It�strikes without shame, the worst part is its killing its own brother Muslims,�but we see like as in Gaza, Saudi Arabia seems to able to think it can just pretend like it dropping leaflet telling everybody to flee or that they are giving people warning yet there is nowhere to go, people are being murdered by this Saudi shameless and cowardly air strikes and now we are seeing a UNESCO world heritage site being destroyed, something that can never be returned back to the way it was in Sana�a.

Saudi Arabia seems to have its way�with the United States, United States barely condemns for the mass murder it is committing and it seems to be taking part in these so-called dialogue in Riyadh. I believe that the world should step forward and condemn Saudi Arabia for this mass murder that is taking place.

Ansarullah is a legitimate resistance movement and it is trying to establish in orderly community it is trying to re-engage in a national dialogue, the one that is stopping the ability for a unified Yemen is Saudi Arabia.

Press TV:�You spoke of how we need more pressure being applied on Saudi Arabia to end its aggression against Yemen. but Where is this pressure going to some from because it is quite clear the United Nations has not been decisive or strong in condemning or calling immediate halt to this aggression?

Barry:�This is the same case as with Israel and its neighborhood. It can strike with impunity to Lebanon, it can mass murder people in Gaza, it can commit human rights violations over and over in the west bank and the rest of�Palestine, and it can fire shamelessly into Syria.

This is the same thing that Saudi Arabia is doing.�it is conducting war from the air against the people that have no ability to defend itself in this case and it is committing mass murder against a basically defenseless community. It is time for Saudi Arabia to pull back, the UN, just like the case with Israel, does nothing to stop Israel�s malfeasance and destruction and it is doing the same thing with Saudi Arabia and both using US-made�weapons in billions of dollars and the United States, this world power, this military might, is saying absolutely nothing as actually it complicit in Saudi Arabia, it is giving logistics and training to the pilots and other military personnel.
