Tabriz, May 20, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that Iranian negotiating team will never yield to bullying of the western governments.

The President recalled memory of the sacred defense against the aggressor Iraqi Saddam Hussein.

'Devoid of hope in the society and in the lack of the people's assistance passing through the difficulties is impossible, just as unity, pious belief and love of our people during the years of the Sacred Defense led to Iran's victory, and today, our negotiating team relying on God and the people's support will resist in defense of the nation's interests,' said Rouhani in a meeting with Tabrizi merchants.

President Rouhani highlighted the need to develop democracy and tolerate the views of political parties, and said that in order to achieve national objectives, 'we are in need of unity and solidarity, something which is not possible in absence of tolerance.'

'We must learn to tolerate each other, because we are going through very special conditions in our society today,' he said.

The president said that during the years of the Sacred Defense everyone was tolerating each other and they never forgot the main objectives.

He said that the objective of the Islamic Revolution was to set up a democratically-elected government.

'During the revolution, when the nation's objective was to get rid of humiliation under dictatorship and wished to establish a democratic system in their country,' said the president.

'Our objective was to observe the Iranian and Islamic identity in all aspects of life to resist to the entire problems,' said President Rouhani.

He called for respecting the same unity, solidarity and national resolve to pass through the current challenges solidly and resolutely.
