Senior MP: All anti-Iran sanctions should end on day one

Tehran, May 18, IRNA Rapporteur of Majlis (Iranian parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini underlined that all sanctions against the country should be terminated on the very same day that the final nuclear agreement is reached.

'The members of the commission agree that a clause on the removal of sanctions should be brought up in the final agreement so that it will be implemented after implementation of the agreement,' Naqavi Hosseini told reporters after the commission's meeting on Sunday.

He noted in the commission's meeting on Sunday, a Majlis bill which obliges the government to maintain the country's nuclear achievements was reviewed and it was eventually agreed that a committee to study the issue will be formed.

'In the commission's meeting that was attended by the Deputy Chief and Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi as well as the foreign ministry's officials, Kamalvandi announced that whatever decision the parliament takes the government will implement it, but the parliament's decisions should be taken by considering all aspects; even implementation of the additional protocol also depends on the parliament's decision,' Naqavi Hosseini added.
