AEOI chief in good health condition

Tehran, May 16, IRNA Vice President and Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi, who recentlly underwent a surgical operation, has gained his full recovery.

Speaking to IRNA, AEOI Spokeman and Deputy Head Behrouz Kamalvandi said Saturday afternoon, 'I met Mr. Salehi an hour ago and he was in good shape and will leave hospital on Monday.'

He added Salehi would have a few day rest at home, and then will return to work.

On Salehi presence at nuclear talks, Kamalvandi quoted Abbas Araqchi, a senior member of Iranian nuclear negotiating team as saying that there is no need for his presence in this round of talks.

He added doctors have said that a few hour flight would not make any problem for him if his presence in the talks is needed.

Son of Ali Akbar Salehi, Hossein Salehi also told IRNA that his father could be discharged from hospital on Friday, but his family preferred to keep him in hospital for more two days.
