Coordination meeting on Irans nuclear program held in Vienna

TEHRAN (Tasnim) In the fourth day of the new round of talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UNSC members plus Germany), a coordination meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers was held in Vienna on Friday to discuss Tehran's nuclear energy program, Sputnik reported.

The fourth day of talks has kicked off as a trilateral meeting was held between Iranian negotiators and those of the EU and the US on Thursday to finalize the text of the long-awaited dealine.

In the trilateral meeting that started on Thursday morning, Iranian negotiators Seyed Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi held talks with US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman and the European Union's deputy secretary general for the external action service, Helga Maria Schmid.

It was earlier announced that political directors general of the six world powers are also scheduled to join the talks on Friday.

Negotiators from Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France, and Germany) are looking to work out the details of a comprehensive agreement that would ensure the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear energy program.

The negotiators are working towards the end-of-June deadline after reaching a framework agreement last month.

On April 2, the two sides reached a framework nuclear agreement in Lausanne, Switzerland, with both sides committed to push for a final deal until the end of June.
