Up to 87 police forces killed in line of duty last year: Police chief

In clashes with anti-revolutionary agents, outlaws and criminals, up to 87 police forces were killed in the line of duty last year [ended March 20], the police chief told a meeting of deputy ministers on Monday.

On the martyrdom of a number of border guards earlier this year, Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari said, “We have reached agreement with Islamabad and negotiations were held with Pakistani police officials to extradite members of the terrorist grouping behind the killing of the Iranian border guards.”
