Tehran, May 11, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said that implementation of agreements already signed will further boost relations between Iran and Turkmenistan.
In a meeting with Turkmenistan Deputy Prime minister for Oil and Gas Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov here on Monday, the President voiced Tehran’s readiness to speed up execution of the agreements and further expansion of relations with Ashgabat.
The Turkmen official submitted the message of his president to Rouhani during the meeting.
President Rouhani referred to four rounds of constructive talks with his Turkmen counterpart and said the implementation of agreements in building roads, export of goods and services and exchange of energy will speed up regional development and promote cooperation.
Noting that ties between the two countries have always been good, the Iranian President expressed hope that bilateral relations would further grow in all possible areas.
Pointing out that 19 documents on mutual cooperation has been signed between the two countries, Hojamuhammedov said that Turkmenistan was seeking greater cooperation with Iran due to the existing good neighborly relations.
He also said he had constructive talks with ministers of oil and road and civil construction as well as the Central Bank governors on the ways of implementing the agreements.
