TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national women futsal team finished in third place in the

Team Melli defeated Russia 2 in its last match 6-5 in the match held at the Aquarium Hotel in Krasnogorsk, Russia, on Saturday.

Iran lost to Russia and Spain 3-2 and 5-0 respectively in the four-a-side tournament.

Spain beat Russia 2-1 and won the title for the third time.

The Iranian team is preparing to participate in the first edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship.
