Iran's Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General�Firouz Masihpour�has taken part in the opening ceremony of�Turkey�s 12th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF).

According to Iran�s military attach� in Turkey,Colonel Jahangir Shariat, Masihpour arrived in the Turkish city of�Istanbul to take part in the fair�on Tuesday morning, when the international fair kicked off.

The deputy defense minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with high-ranking Turkish Defense Ministry and foreign officials, Shariat added.

He went on to say that Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan is also to head a delegation to�visit the fair, which will run until May 8.

Over 800 companies are to display their�defense products in this year�s IDEF, in which�over 100 countries are participating.
