Australian FM: Iran visit very productive

Islamabad, May 7, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Australia Julie Bishop described her recent visit to Iran as “very productive and useful”.

She made the remarks in an interview on Wednesday to IRNA correspondent to Pakistan where she is paying her first official visit since she assumed office in September 2013.

Bishop said that during her April 18-19 visit to Tehran, she met President Hass Rouhani and her counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and discussed a good number of bilateral, regional and international issues, including Yemen conflict.

“Presumably all such conflicts ultimately need to be resolved with a political solution and we hope that all stakeholders will achieve a political solution

in Yemen,“ she stressed.
