Tehran, April 28, IRNA – Commander of Basij (volunteer) Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naghdi said on Tuesday that 36 years of unfair economic sanctions against Iran led to industrial development of the country.
Once the country’s strongholds were located on war fronts but they have now shifted to industry sector, he said.
Economic sanctions have failed to affect people’s daily lives as confessed by those coming to Iran from abroad and seeing peope’s normal lives here.
The Iranian people including workers have given a crushing response to the sanctions through their round the clock endeavors, he said.
Since early stages of the Islamic Revolution, the US and its Western allies have masterminded various plots to defeat the revolution but to no avail, he said.
