Islam advises mankind to sell armor not arm: Top negotiator

Tehran, April 29, IRNA Islam advises mankind to make and sell armor to prevent people from being killed and prohibits making arms or selling them, Senior nuclear negotiator said in an article released on Wednesday.

Hamid Baidinejad said in his article that Iran's defense doctrine is based on Islamic teachings.

He added that Prophet David (Peace Be Upon Him) had been given power by God to soften iron but he did not use his power for making swords.

Prophet David used his heavenly power to make armor, the official added.

He underlined that prophets have taught us to make armor to prevent people from being killed instead of making weapons to kill others.

Prophet Solomon (PBUH) has been also granted with a mine of molten copper but he used his mine to make dishes for use of people, Baidinejad said.

He said weapons of mass destruction have never brought peace and prosperity for the people who used them.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has advised his followers to sell armor not sword to sides of conflicts even if they were not Muslim, the official said while explaining Islam's defense doctrine.

When Imam Mahdi (AS) comes to save the world, he will use the power of logic to help mankind find his way towards prosperity and peace, Baidinejad concluded.
