A deputy energy minister has said Iran has drawn up a new plan to raise its electricity exports to 25 billion kilowatt hours � a three-fold rise � in three years.

Hooshang Falahatian further said the new comprehensive plan, which is in line with the country�s resistance-based economy, envisions creation of an optimal structure for developing Iran�s trade in electricity in the long run.

He added the new structure calls for more participation of the private sector in energy export plans.
