Iran, Philippines have common nuclear ideas- Larijani

Tehran, April 28, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said here on Tuesday that Tehran and Manila enjoy common policies on nuclear issue, establishment of security and economic cooperation.

Larijani made the remarks during his joint press conference with visiting Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines Feliciano Belmonte.

Larijani told reporters that his today meeting with Belmonte focused on the issues of mutual interest and challenges, regional questions, terrorism and the issues of Yemen and Syria as well as the role of certain states to create tension in crisis-stricken countries.

The Philippine side, too, referred to 50-year-old relations between Manila and Tehran, saying Iran is a country that brings stability to the Middle East region.

He further said his talks with Larijani focused on the issues related to the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

On terrorism, he said it is a threat that endangers all states.

he further stressed all should respect nations’ rights.
