Aden International Airport targeted by Saudi air raids

TEHRAN (FNA)- Saudi fighter jets bombarded Aden's International Airport on Sunday and destroyed a passenger plane.

The kingdom's military aircraft targeted the international airport of Aden on Sunday and left a passenger plane burning in fire.

The Saudi attacks also targeted Qaryat al-Rakab region of Taizz province, and claimed the lives of over three civilians. Seven people were also left wounded during the raids.

Saudi Arabia launched its bombing campaign against Yemen on March 26 in an attempt to restore power to fugitive President Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Monarchy's attacks have so far claimed the lives of at least 3,005 civilians, mostly women and children.

Despite Riyadh's announcement on Tuesday that it was halting the bombing campaign, the Saudi warplanes are still bombing residential areas across Yemen.
