Sanctions relief key issue at Vienna talks on Iran nuclear program

The issue of sanctions relief was a key issue at the Vienna talks of P5+1 and Iran on Tehran's nuclear program, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told journalists Friday.


MOSCOW, April 24 (Sputnik) According toRyabkov, no progress had been reached yet onweapons embargo due todisagreements betweenthe sides.
"Talks were rather fruitful Mainly we discussed the issue ofsanctions. Our P5+1 colleagues held constructive discussions. But we have not yet agreed onthe timing and volume ofsanctions relief. We are working onit."



The P5+1 group and Tehran will continue discussions onthe military component ofIslamic Republic's nuclear program duringupcoming rounds oftalks, the Russian diplomat said.The negotiators did not reach consensus onredesigning ofthe disputed Arak heavy water nuclear plant either, Ryabkov said.

The P5+1 group ofnegotiators and Iran are working onthe issue ofanti-Tehran sanctions relief intalks onTehran's nuclear program, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told journalists Friday.

"We are working onit," Araghchi said when asked aboutprogress onthe sanctions issue.
