Irans nuclear negotiators due in Vienna tomorrow

TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (MNA) In a fresh round of nuclear talks between Iran and 5+1 in the Austrian city of Vienna, the team will hold talks with Helga Schmid on 21-22 April, and a Friday meeting at deputy level.

In a fresh round of talks between Iran and the six states - the US, the UK, France, China, Russia and Germany that will kick off tomorrow in the Austrian city of Vienna, parameters for aJointComprehensive PlanofAction will reportedly begin to be composed.

On April 2, after 9 days of extensive talks in Lausanne, the negotiating sides reached a mutual understanding that was jointly issued by Irans FM Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.

The Lausanne statement was mostly focused on finding mutual solutions that could prepare the two sides for drafting the final agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

Iran and 5+1 three-day negotiations will start tomorrow at the deputy and expert level.

Iranian deputy FMs Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Director General for Political Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry and nuclear negotiator Hamid Baeidinejad and an expert team of nuclear negotiators will participate in this round of talks that will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.

The talks will continue on until Friday with the representatives of 5+1.

It is most likely that the negotiating team will leave for Tehran on Friday to prepare for the trip to New York for attending the NPT summit (from 27 April to 22 May 2015).

According to FM spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham, Zarif will give a speech at the NPT review conference. Given the fact that all foreign ministers of 5+1 will be also attending the NPT summit, there is the possibility that a round of nuclear negotiations would be held on the sidelines of the event.
