Iran, Iraq trading to surpass $12 billion

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Secretary of Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi said the volume of financial exchanges between the two countries is expected to rise by 10 percent, surpassing $12 billion.


The volume of exchanges between the two countries totaled $12 billion (in last Iranian calender year which began on March 21, 2014) which is expected to rise by 10 percent, Sanjabi said.

He also described as positive the landscape of Iran-Iraq economic ties, and said, Iraqs stability is an important factor in ties with Iraq. The more stable and secure Iraq, the volume of Irans good and technical and engineering exports would rise.

Sanjabi noted that Iran plans to raise the volume of trading with Iraq to $15 billion.
