Zarif, Omani counterpart confer on phone

Tehran, April 18, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a telephone conversation with his Omani counterpart Youssef bin Alawi bin Abdullah on Saturday voiced Iran’s readiness to help halting military aggression against Yemen.

Touching upon Iran’s four-point plan submitted to UN on putting an end to the ongoing bloodshed in Yemen, Zarif noted Iran is fully ready to help this Arab country to begin dialogue among all parties.

The two ministers also discussed the latest regional developments and stressed the need for bolstering the mutual cooperation.

Pointing to the sensitive situation in the Middle East, the two sides called for paying due attention to the Yemenis people’s immediate needs and sending humanitarian aid, including medicine and food to this Arab country.
