US in acid test over N-talks: Boroujerdi

TEHRAN, Apr. 18 (MNA) – Chairman of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has said US is under a historic test to prove it would live up to its obligations or would yield under the influence of Zionist lobbies.

On the sidelines of Iranian National Army Day held today, Chairman of Iran Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi stated the message of army parade was ineffectiveness of sanctions.

“Despite all the sanctions imposed over the past decades on our nation, we turned the threats into opportunities and further developed our military capabilities and potentials which are only for deterrent purposes,” Boroujerdi highlighted.

Expressing regret over the policies taken by Saudi and other members of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council toward dealing with Yemen’s internal issue, he said, “Saudi Arabia is stuck in Yemen’s war quagmire,” ensuring that Iran would continue to spread the message of peace and friendship to the regional countries.

In response to the question about the possibility of improvement in Iran-US relationship after reaching a nuclear deal, Iranian diplomat said that US is under a historic and important test to either prove commitment to its obligations or perform under the influence of Zionist lobby or other factors.
