Gov’t determined to attain economic prosperity

Rasht, April 16, IRNA – Presidential Office Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian said on Thursday that the government of President Hassan Rouhani has used all in power to achieve economic prosperity in the country.

Addressing a meeting of Gilan province Chamber of Commerce, he added the government deems it as its duty to remove obstacles on the way of exports and production.

Nahavandian is in Rasht along with President Rouhani who arrived here for his 15th provincial visit.

Government has presented a bill to Majlis which would lead the country out of stagnation and help economic prosperity, Nahavandian said.

He added that all necessary conditions are prepared for changing the current Iranian year (started March 20) into a year of exports boom.

The official noted that the main reason for this is the existance of valuable human assets inside the country.

Nahavandian further contended, ‘Lifting sanction will not lead to our progress; rather it will remove obstacles [on the way of progress]. We shoould note that the only factor which will move us forward is our labor and initiative.’

The government is seriously resolved to cede the works to the private sector, said the official, urging economic activists to report problems nagging economic prosperity to be removed.

Gilan province is hosting President Hassan Rouhani and his cabinet members on the government’s 15th provincial visit.
