Larijani: Sanctions removal prerequisite for any Iran-G5+1 accord

Kermanshah, April 15, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that the requisite for any Iran-G5+1 accord is lifting of all sanctions.

Speaking to a group of people, Larijani said as announced by Iranian officials, especially Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, since the beginning of talks, the requisite for Iran-G5+1 agreement has been unconditional lifting of all sanctions imposed on Iran unjustly.

Larijani said, 'Our word is what was said in the beginning of the talks; if the West seeks to gain results and sign (a final) accord with Iran, all sanctions should be removed.'

He referred to claims of certain US officials that nuclear agreement with Iran should be endorsed by the Congress and said the US domestic problems have nothing to do with Iran and they cannot influence the nuclear talks through deception and under pretext of the Congress pressure on the country.

He said the US domestic problems are related to the country itself. 'Iran will not backdown from its stances even one iota and insists on its former decisions as the Supreme Leader has repeated it times and again.'
