TEHRAN April 14(Shana)--Irans petroleum minister has told a parliamentary committee that Irans gas pipeline project with Pakistan will go ahead as planned, an MP said.
Shamsollah Bahmaei, spokesman for Majlis Energy Committee, said the Pakistani section of the pipeline that would carry natural gas from Iran would be constructed.
The petroleum minister said the implementation of gas exports contract with Pakistan has no problem and this country should honor its obligations under the contract, he said.
Another lawmaker said the Pakistani government has shown willingness for importing Irans gas and has promised to build its own section of the pipeline.
