Official urges vigilance in drafting final nuclear deal

Tehran, April 11, IRNA - Head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi urged the negotiating team to be vigilant in drafting the final nuclear deal with G5+1.

During a meeting with the negotiating team on Saturday, the former foreign minister praised their efforts.

Kharazi noted that the achievements made are the result of nation's resistance against outside illegal requests.

The official urged the negotiating team to be vigilant in writing the text of the final comprehensive nuclear agreement and resist the excessive demands.

He said the final nuclear agreement should guarantee Iran's nuclear facilities as well as the nuclear scientists' security.

Head of the Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi and Deputy Foreign Ministers Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi attended the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and briefed the members about the latest developments in nuclear talks with world powers.

On April 2, Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers adopted a joint statement after marathon talks in Lausanne calling, among other things, for the removal of the UNSC sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

The statement was read out in a joint press conference in the Swiss city by the EU high representative, Federica Mogherini, and Zarif.

In the framework of the agreement, none of Irans nuclear facilities as well as the previous activities will be stopped, shut down or suspended and Irans nuclear activities in all its nuclear facilities including Natanz, Fordow, Isfahan and Arak will continue.

These comprehensive solutions will guarantee the continued enrichment program inside the Iranian territory and according to this, Iran will be allowed to go on with industrial production of nuclear fuel which is meant for running its nuclear power plants.
