Tehran, April 9, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani said Thursday that the enemies have mistakenly thought that the Iranian nation would back down under pressure, threat or assassination of its scientists, but 'thanks God the nation continues to resist.'
The president made the remarks while he was visiting the family of Iran's martyred nuclear scientist Masoud Ali Mohammadi, who was assassinated by Israeli agents in 2010.
The meeting was held on the eve of the National Nuclear Technology Day (Farvardin 20) which falls this year on April 9.
'We have never posed a threat to our neighbors,' President Rouhani said, adding that Iran's goal in developing nuclear technology is to achieve science and development which is the inalienable right of the Iranian nation.
Underlining that Iran is determined to gain more scientific achievements, particularly in the area of nuclear technology, Rouhani expressed hope that with the support of people, Tehran's nuclear talks with the world's six powers (US, Britain, Russia, China and France plus Germany) would yield fruit.
