Sarmadi: Lebanon victories owe to bloods of resistance martyrs

Beirut, April 8, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister and the President's special envoy Morteza Sarmadi on Wednesday commemorated Lebanese Islamic Resistance martyrs and said that Lebanon victories owe to bloods of the martyrs.




At the first day of his visit to Lebanon, Sarmadi attended cemetery of martyrs of the resistance movement to the Israeli occupation and paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths on tombs.

He told reporters that without doubt, the economic development, independence, honor and glory of Lebanon could not be achieved without self-sacrifice of the resistance martyrs.

Sarmadi, heading a delegation arrived in Beirut on Wednesday morning on the fifth stop of his regional tour.

Sarmadi is scheduled to confer with senior Lebanese officials, including Premier Tammam Salam, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Foreign Minister Gebran bassil on the ways to expand mutual relations and exchange views on the regional and global developments, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and Syria in particular and fight against Takfiri terrorists.

The Iranian delegation already visited Oman, Iraq, Tunisia and Algeria.

IRNA reporter in Beirut said that Sarmadi will brief the Lebanese government officials on Lausanne statement about settlement of the nuclear dispute with the western governments.
