The society said Sunday that an Israeli court sentenced Khalida Jarrar, who is a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), to so-called administrative detention.
Administrative detention is a sort of imprisonment without trial or charge that allows Israel to incarcerate Palestinians for up to six months. The detention order can be renewed for indefinite periods of time.
Jarrarwas arrested on April 2, when Israeli forces raided her home in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli army has told Palestinian media that the lawmaker was detained for leading a terrorist organization and encouraging terror activities.
Jarrar is one of the most outspoken critics of the Israeli occupation and has repeatedly slammed the Tel Aviv regimes atrocities against Palestinians.
Head of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, Fares Qaddura, has denounced Jarrar's arrest as a revengeful act as she rejected the Israeli militarys decision to relocate her from Ramallah district to Jericho.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, Jarrar was the eighth Palestinian to be sentenced to administrative detention this month.
More than 7,000 Palestinian prisoners are currently held in some 17 Israeli jails, dozens of whom are serving multiple life sentences.
The Israeli Prison Service, the agency responsible for overseeing jails, has come under criticism from human rights groups for rampant rights abuses in jails, according to reports.
