Presence of women in sports stadiums on agenda

Tehran, April 4, IRNA – An Iranian official said on Saturday that the plan for presence of Iranian women and families in sports stadiums will be implemented during the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2015).

Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth in Cultural, Education and Research Affairs, Abdolhamid Ahmadi underscored that the ministry presented its comprehensive bylaw for presence of Iranian families and women in sports stadiums to the Iranian National Security Council in early March 2015.

He added the plan has been set out considering all aspects of the regulation.

Last year, several international sports associations including the International Federation of Volleyball (FIVB) asked Iran to pave the ground for presence of Iranian women in sports clubs based on the international regulations and rules of sports.
