Funny you should ask that! negotiators crack up over deadline question

Who said there’s no room for laughter at Iran’s nuclear talks? Negotiators got giggles today over Iran’s nuclear deadline.

Participants in the negotiations on Iran’s disputed nuclear program burst into laughter, when asked by a correspondent if the talks would end today, Maria Zakharova, deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Information Department, wrote in her Facebook.

Лозанна. День второй. Министерское заседание “шестерка”+Иран. На вопрос журналистки, получится ли сегодня достичь договоренность, все министры дружно рассмеялись.

“Lausanne, Day Two. Session in the 6 foreign ministers + Iran format. Asked by a journalist, if an agreement could be reached today, all the ministers laughed in unison”

On Sunday, P5+1 foreign ministers held a plenary session without Iran’s participation.

The West accuses Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran has repeatedly denied this claim.

A new round of P5+1 talks with Tehran began in Lausanne on Thursday, and is expected to continue until March 31, according to a source in Iranian delegation.
