Velayati: Nuclear talks moving forward within framework drawn by Supreme Leader

Tehran, March 25, IRNA Head of strategic research center of Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati said that the Iranian nuclear negotiating team is pushing forward talks with P5+1 within the framework drawn by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He added that some member of P5+1 have changed their stances several times but Iran has maintained its stance in the talks.


Speaking on the sidelines of a commemoration ceremony for late mother of President Hassan Rouhani, Velayati briefed reporters on his evaluation of recent negotiations as well as remarks by Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

He added that the Supreme Leader has always underlined Iran's nuclear rights and his policies are the basic frameworks within which negotiations should move forward.

Velayati went on to say that Iran has signed Non-Proliferation Treaty and therefore like other signatories of the NPT it is entitled use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
