Details to be finalized in next round of Iran nuclear talks: Zarif

TEHRAN (Tasnim) Diplomats from Iran and six world powers will gather in Switzerland on Wednesday to finalize details of solutions to the sticking points in the path toward a comprehensive nuclear agreement, Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said.

In a post on his Facebook page on Saturday, Zarif described the latest round of nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne as difficult and intensive, but also useful and helpful.

Thanks to the efforts, innovation and consultation in the Iranian team, including experts from the Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), appropriate technical and political solutions were found to the subjects that seemed unresolvable.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) are scheduled to restart nuclear talks in Switzerland after a short hiatus.

Six days of intensive meetings, mainly held between the Iranian and American teams, came to an end in Lausanne on Friday.

Zarif added in his Facebook page that the parties negotiating with Iran needed more time for internal coordination between themselves, because of their different political tendencies, diverse interests and even private reasons.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (also known as the P5+1 or E3+3) are in talks to hammer out a comprehensive accord that would end more than a decade of impasse over Tehrans civilian nuclear activities.
