Kuala Lumpur, March 19, IRNA Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that cordial relations between Iran and Indonesia have to be promoted.

Widodo made the remarks during a meeting in Jakarta where the Iranian newly-appointed ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi presented his credentials to the Indonesian president.

He expressed hope that the Iranian envoy would do his best during his tenure to give a boost to bilateral relations between the two nations.

Mohammadi, for his part, referred to diplomatic relations between Iran and Indonesia as 'constructive' and said expansion of relations between Tehran and Jakarta is his prime duty.
