Irans Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari[/caption]TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari said the country has started building CCHP power plant capable of generating electricity and thermal energy simultaneously.
The technology can help urban development, he said, adding, Getting access to the technology of generating power and heat simultaneously was a wish for Iran and we are glad today that we could use the technology to generate energy.
Use of the technology would protect the environment, saves energy and preserves national resources, he said, adding producing gas turbines with sour gas and 7.000 ppm pressure is opening a new door which shows that Iran is capable in obtaining optimized energy.
The power plant working with two 25 MW turbines is capable of producing 320 KW/H electricity annually and 460 million KW/h thermal energy.
