Irans Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh (file photo)[/caption]TEHRAN March 17(Shana)--Irans Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zangeneh has said that two more phases of the giant South Pars gas field are expected to come on-stream in the coming months.Phases 15&16 of South Pars gas field will become operational in months, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.
He said that two topdrives for Phases 15&16 are now ready, adding that four trains of these phases are ready to start operation.
Zangeneh also said that the offshore section of Phase 17 is also ready with two trains in activity.
He said that phases 12, 15&16 and 17 are the prioritized phases of South Pars with a daily output of 75 mcm, 38 mcm and 12 mcm respectively.
Zangeneh said the inauguration of Phase 12 of South Pars is an important development of Irans petroleum industry struck hard by sanctions.
