NIGC announces gas consumption figures

TEHRAN March 16(Shana)--The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced gas consumption figures by different sectors over the first 360 days of current Iranian calendar year since March 21 2014.

Director of gas supply division at NIGC Naser Ebrahimi told Shana that total gas consumption by residential and commercial sectors, industries and power plants stood at 170.640 bcm.

He added that during the period the volume of gas delivery to power plants hit 49.32 bcm, up by 13.68 bcm against similar period last year.
He further noted that while average daily gas delivery to power plants hit 99 mcm/d last year, the volume rose to 137 mcm/d this year.
According to him, gas delivery to large industries stood at 32 bcm this year, or 89 mcm/d, up by 2.2 bcm against similar period last year when average daily gas delivery hit 83 mcm.
Gas consumption by residential, commercial and small industries went up by 2.1 bcm this year hitting 89.28 bcm.
Over the first 360 days of current Iranian calendar year average daily gas delivery to commercial, residential and small industries stood at 248 mcm, up by 6 mcm/d against corresponding period last year .
