Chairman of Irans Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani[/caption]Tehran, March 16, IRNA Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said Monday that Muslims are inherently moderate.
When the colonialists see the vigilance of people, they resort to extremism to undermine the social security of people, Rafsanjani said.
Referring to security situation of the region due to emergence of extremist groups over the past few years, Rafsanjani said that Daesh with its false name 'Islamic State' has came as a disaster to both Shia and Sunni Muslims.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani called on all Islamic leaders both inside and outside the country to stop these groups from spreading their poisoned thoughts in the society.
