Tehran, March 11, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani, during his two-day visit to Turkmenistan, planted a sapling as a symbol of peace and friendship, in the Independence Park of Ashgabat.
Vice-President and head of the Department of Environment ( DoE) Ma’soumeh Ebtekar joined the president in the affair.
Rouhani arrived in Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan, on Tuesday evening for a two-day official visit.
Besides Ebtekar, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Presidential Office Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian, special aid to the president Hossein Fereydoun, Justice Minister Mustafa Pour-Mohammadi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and Governor of Central Bank Valiollah Seif are accompanying the president in the visit.
Bilateral meeting with Turkmenistan president, participation in the joint meeting of high ranking delegations of Iran and Turkmenistan and in ceremones to sign 17 cooperation documents, as well as presence in the gathering of economic activists and businessmen of the two counties fell in the visit schedule of president Rouhani.
President Rouhani, after attending the dinner banquet by President Berdimuhamedov, will depart Ashgabat for Tehran on Wednesday night.
